In our previous blog post, Why You Can’t Split Jerk – And What To Do About It, we discussed several drills for correcting issues in your split jerk.  The first drill helps determine how deep your dip should be to generate the greatest upward momentum in your drive.  In this drill, the individual tests how high they can jump from both shallow and deep depths.  If you jump higher from a shallow depth, you will benefit more from a shallow dip drive.  Conversely, if you jump higher from a deeper depth, you will benefit more from a deeper dip drive.  The results of this test will vary from person to person, so be sure to do this drill for yourself.
